Huawei Nova 4 launched with ‘hole-punch’ display, 48-megapixel camera

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone giant, has just made a new smartphone announcement. This is regarding the latest in the Huawei Nova series. The smartphone announced by Huawei is the Huawei Nova 4. Now, the Huawei Nova 4 is not just another premium mid-range device from the company. This time, Huawei has added plenty of cool features to this device. The Huawei Nova 4 comes with an in-display camera similar to Galaxy A8s. This is with the help of Huawei’s version of the Infinity-O display from Samsung. Also, the device boasts a massive 48-megapixel camera on the rear too.

The highlights of Huawei Nova 4 are its in-display camera and 48MP camera. However, Huawei Nova 4 is not just about those two features. Huawei Nova 4 has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ ‘hole-punch ‘display. This display has a resolution of 2310 x 1080 pixels. Also, it has a weird aspect ratio of 19.25:9 due to the display hole. Huawei claims that the Nova 4 has 86.3% screen-to-body ratio. Now, this is interesting that a smartphone with display hole doesn’t even have a 90+ screen-to-body ratio. On the other hand, smartphones with notches have 90%+ ratio.

On the inside, Huawei Nova 4 runs HiSilicon Kirn 970 SoC. However, there are claims that Huawei could launch Nova 4 with Kirin 980 SoC which is the latest processor. The smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM as well. The earpiece of the Huawei Nova 4 is above its display.

We should now talk about the much-talked-about feature of Huawei Nova 4, its cameras. The device has a triple camera setup on the back and a single one on the front. However, both the front and back cameras are plenty powerful. On the back, Huawei Nova 4 has a 48-megapixel primary camera. Along with that, there is a 16MP secondary and a 2MP tertiary camera. On the front, the device houses a 25M selfie camera.

The Huawei Nova 4 also retains the 3.5-mm headphone jack. Along with that, Nova 4 has a 3750 mAh non-removable battery too. 18W Fast charging is also present on the Huawei Nova 4 at 9Volts and 2 Amps. The Huawei Nova 4 is available in China at 3399 Yuan, available from January 2019. Also, it is very likely that the device will be launched in Europe soon. There is no word from Huawei on the Indian launch, though.
