Huawei has launched its latest MatePad T8 in Romania, alongside with Huawei Y5p and Huawei Y6p phones. The tab comes in a single Deep sea Blue color option and it has a traditional design aesthetic. Both smartphones are launched in the budget section with basic specs and MediaTek processor.
Huawei MatePad T8 Specifications
The MatePad T8 features an 8-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 800 x 1260 pixels. The T8 has an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek MTK8768 octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB RAM. The device comes in two storage variants 16GB and 32GB and it also supports microSD card expansion.
The device runs on Android-based EMUI 10 out of the box. It has a large 5,1000mAh battery that is rated to offer up to 12 hours of video playback, 12 hours of web browsing. It is claimed to last for up to 3.5 weeks in standby mode.
The tablet is priced at RON 500 which is roughly Rs 8,400 in Romania.
Huawei Y5p and Y6p Specifications
Huawei Y5p has a 5.45-inch LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by Helio P22 SoC. The Y5p has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smaller Y5p does not have any fingerprint scanner. To keep the lights on it has a 3,020mAh battery.
The Y6p has a 6.3-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and powered by Helio P22 chipset, coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
In terms of optics, the device features a triple rear camera setup at the back that includes a 13MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth sensor. The phone has a fingerprint scanner at the back and comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
Both devices are powered by EMUI 10.1, the latest version of HUAWEI’s Android-based operating system. Huawei Y5p comes in three color variants Midnight Black, Phantom Blue, and Mint Green. While the Y6p is available in three contemporary finishes Midnight Black, Phantom Purple, and Emerald Green.
In terms of pricing, the Huawei Y5p is priced at 599 LEI which is roughly Rs 10,000. While the Y6p is priced at 799 LEI which is roughly Rs 13,600.
For now, there is no information on these devices for the Indian launch. The P40 and the P40 Pro was the last device launched in India.
