We saw dual camera setup becomes a standard specification on a smartphone in 2016. If we fast forward to 2017, the trend has turned all the way to 18:9 near the bezel-less display. It is also becoming a standard feature these days.
Huawei already launched quite a few phones with FullView displays. They have added a new one to the list dubbed as Enjoy 7S, which is literally the successor to their last year’s Enjoy 6S.
Huawei Launched Enjoy 7S with FullView Display in China
The Enjoy 7S is a mid-range device that competes with the like of the upcoming Redmi Note 5. As we take the price into consideration, it also comes under the category of in-house Honor 7X.
For the specs, the first thing you notice about it at a glance is the display. Huawei has opted for a 5.65-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 427 PPI. In India, the company introduced Honor 9i and 7X with the same FullVision display under Rs. 20000 price bracket.
The unibody metal design adds a premium feel to the device and its fingerprint scanner found the position on the back just like with any other near bezel-less devices.
Under the hood, it carries a HiSilicon Kirin 659 octa-core chipset coupled with Mali T830 -MP2 GPU.You will have the option to choose from either 3 GB or 4 GB RAM variant. The internal storage for the low RAM variant is 32 GB whereas, for the 4 GB variant, it is 64 GB. You can also pop in an SD card to expand the storage up to 256 GB. Nonetheless, you can’t do that if you want to insert two SIM cards (the device comes with a hybrid slot).
When it comes to the camera department, Enjoy 7S looks good on paper (we are yet to explore the real-life performance). It carries a dual rear setup with a 13 and a 2 MP sensors. The secondary sensor helps the phone understand the depth and create a bokeh effect. The front shooter measures 8 MP in resolution.
Huawei has only announced the device in China on Monday (18-12-2017). Although the sale didn’t begin, they have started taking pre-orders. Comes in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold colors, Enjoy 7S costs CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,540) for the 3/32 GB variant and CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 16,480) 4/64 GB variant.
The company kept their silence on bringing the device to other markets. We are not sure whether Enjoy 7S will make its way to India.
