HP announces three new laptops on the ZBook Series with high-end specifications. The line-up of HP ZBooks includes the ZBook Studio G8, ZBook Power G8, and Fury G8. Out of the three, Studio G8 and Power G8 sport the same screen size except for the Fury G8 with a slightly bigger screen. These workstation notebooks under the hood feature the new Intel 11th Gen H-series Core processors.
Coming to the GPU of these laptops, HP provides them with Nvidia or AMD graphic sticks for the graphics-intensive works. From the trio, the Studio G8 and the Fury G8 feature the same GPUs from Nvidia but the Power G8 comes with a lower variant of Nvidia GPU.
All three notebooks have stereo speakers for media-driven users. Nonetheless, all three ZBook’s have similar design prospects and specifications with minor differences and pricing.
HP ZBook Studio G8 Specifications
The Studio G8 laptop sports a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2160 pixels. The display supports multitouch, a peak brightness of 400 nits, DisplayHDR 500 certification, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage.
The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 which is found on flagship smartphones. The processor is an Intel Core i9-11950H coupled with an Nvidia RTX A5000 graphics card that powers the laptop.
The user can opt for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card as well along with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The storage options are up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM with 512GB of PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The connectivity options are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-A port, and a headphone & microphone combo jack. The battery capacity is an 83Whr cell with a claimed backup of 9 hours with a full charge.
HP ZBook Power G8 Specifications
The Power G8 laptop sports a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2160 pixels. The narrow-bezel IPS display supports multitouch, a peak brightness of 400 nits, and 100 percent sRGB coverage. The processor is an Intel Core i9-11950H coupled with an Nvidia RTX A2000 graphics card with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The storage options on the Power G8 are up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD storage.
The connectivity options on the Power G8 laptop are up to Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (2×2), Bluetooth v5.0, tagging along with a Thunderbolt 4 port, three USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a headphone and mic combo jack. The battery capacity of the Power G8 is 83Whr with a claimed backup of 9 hours with a full charge. The weight of this laptop is around 1.89kg similar to the Studio G8 notebook.
HP ZPower Fury G8 Specifications
The Power G8 laptop sports a 15.6-inch or a 17.3-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2160 pixels. The narrow-bezel IPS display supports multitouch, a peak brightness of 600 nits on the 17-inch model and 500 nits on the 15-inch model, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage. The screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection. An Intel Core i9-11950H CPU or an Intel Xeon W-11955M CPU powers the laptop.
The GPU options for the Fury G8 are Nvidia RTX A5000 16GB or AMD Radeon Pro W6600M with 8GB of VRAM to top it off. The connectivity options for the 15.6-inch model come with two USB Type-A ports, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and an audio jack. While the 17.3-inch model adds an extra USB Type-A port following with the 15-inch spec. The battery capacity of the Fury G8 is a 94Whr cell.
Price and Availability
HP has not mentioned any of the prices for the Studio G8, Power G8, and Fury G8 models until now. Besides, these workstation HP ZBooks will go on sale in only selected countries around the world. As of now, there is no official word on the launch of these laptops in India.
