Honor 7X performed decently enough on the market with the specifications nobody hated. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its successor in the Chinese market in two variants; Honor 8X Max and Honor 8X.
Both the devices feature rear dual camera setups and thin bezels. You will also get Dolby Atmos surround system along with glass-finish back panels.
Honor Launched 8X Max and 8X in China
Among the two, 8X Max is the premium as per the spec sheets. You will get a premium notch along with some high-class features as compared to the 8X.
Honor 8X Max sports a massive 7.12-inch Full HD+ TFT IPS display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The dual sim device packs in a Snapdragon 636 processor underneath the hood coupled with 4 GB RAM. You can choose from 64 GB or 128 GB storage options. The rear camera houses two sensors; 16 MP primary with f/2.0 aperture and 2 MP secondary with f/2.4 aperture to evoke the depth of field effect.
The charging port is only micro USB. However, you will get 5000 mAh battery. Going by the specs, it has the potential to give a neck-to-neck competition to Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The successor of Honor 7X, on the other hand, has a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display with the same resolution and 18.7:9 aspect ratio, which results in a pixel density of 397 PPI. The chipset is Kirin HiSilicon 710F. The octa-core processor is accompanied by either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Moreover, you can choose from 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options as well.
As for the optics, the device has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 20 MP primary and a 2 MP secondary sensor. Not to mention, there is an LED flash to help you with the lowlight photography. Up front, it got a 16 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Both the smartphones run on EMUI 8.2.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. And, the company has included a TUV Rheinland-certified blue light protection along with AI-powered features for better camera performance.
The basic variant of Honor 8X Max comes with a price tag of CNY 1499 (Rs. 15700) while the 128 GB variant has a price of CNY 1799 (Rs. 19000). On the other hand, Honor 8X has been priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,700) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while its 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,800) and the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant comes at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 20,000).
They haven’t made the release date in other markets public yet.
