Google has announced its new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones at their Google’s Pixel Fall Launch event on 18th October, Tuesday. The highlighting factor about this duo of smartphones is the use of Google’s custom-made Tensor chipset. The design of the chipset has an added advantage in terms of providing; the best experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
Google Pixel 6 Pro Specifications
The Pixel Pro sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The display comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 512ppi of pixel density, and supports a variable refresh rate that goes from 10Hz to 120Hz. Also, the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection; the display even features a punch-hole on top of the screen.
An Octa-Core Tensor chipset powers the device along with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The storage options on the Pixel 6 Pro include 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the camera module on the 6 Pro is a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera.
A 48-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor accompanied with an LED Flash. The telephone lens is capable of 20x Super Res Zoom and 4x optical zoom.
Besides, the front-facing camera is an 11.1-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. Furthermore, the connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
Also, Google is providing an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. The battery pack on the Pro variant is a 5,003mAh cell that supports 30W wired and 23W wireless fast charging.

Google Pixel 6 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 441ppi pixel density. The punch-hole screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and features a 90Hz refresh rate. An Octa-core Tensor chipset from Google powers the device along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The storage provided on the device comes in two different variants; 128 and 256 GB of internal storage. Besides, the camera module is a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel wide-angle main sensor with f/1.85 aperture.
The secondary sensor is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens accompanied by an LED Flash. The front-facing camera on the vanilla variant is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Price and Availability
The Google Pixel 6 starts at a price tag of $599 and the Pro variant; Pixel 6 Pro starts at $899. The color options for the regular Pixel 6 are Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black colors; whereas the Pixel 6 Pro comes in Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, and Stormy Black shades.
Both the handsets are available for Pre-ordering as of now and will go on sale from October 28th in the United States.
