Google Nest Hub 2nd Generation has finally arrived in India featuring; a few upgrades that include more bassy speakers and a smart display.
The Nest Hub 2 debuted in last year’s March in the United States and after almost a year; the tech giant has brought the smart assistant to India.
Google says that the new device is a more responsive assistant than the previous generation; along with that display helps in showing more information.
Furthermore, there’s a limited period offer running on the smart assistant devices from Google that gives Nest Hub buyers to grab a Nest Mini at Rs. 1 on the sale day.
Google Nest Hub 2nd Generation: Features and Specifications
The Nest Hub 2nd generation features a very similar to its predecessor yet the smart display now has lesser bezel sizes. The speakers on the Hub come with more bass which is claimed as a 50 percent hike than the previous generation.
However, the audio technology and the system are the same as the predecessor with slight tweaks for more enhanced audio.
The display of the Nest Hub when not in use turns into a digital photo frame; that showcases a collage of pictures in a slideshow.
Google has given loads of features and options on the Nest Hub 2nd Gen such as; the controlling of multi-rooms with connecting of several Nest devices from different rooms easily.
Not only, the Nest devices, but the Nest Hub can also connect to Chromecast devices supported on several TVs which makes for convenient usage with all the other devices.
The Nest Hub even supports the Matter; a new connectivity standard from the Connectivity Standards Alliance which helps in controlling a fully connected house.
The device supports many music streaming platforms like Apple Music, Gaana, JioSaavn, Spotify, and YouTube Music. Moreover, users can stream videos from Netflix and YouTube as well with the Smart Display.
Although, the smart display comes with loads of features; on the privacy front, the Nest Hub 2 doesn’t come with a physical shutter for privacy on the microphone and camera which can be a concern for some users.
Rest apart, the Nest Hub can be a perfect companion in the household for making commands. Keeping in mind the environmental crisis Google has used 54 percent recycled post-consumer plastic.
Price and Availability
The Google Nest Hub 2nd Generation comes in two different color options in Chalk and Charcoal shades with a plastic body.
The sale of the Nest device has kick-started and will be available in Flipkart, Tata Cliq, and Reliance Digital.
