Google is very serious about implementing and increasing the usability of its Gemini AI. It recently announced that Google Assistant will be gradually replaced by Gemini AI. In a recent move, the firm also claimed that it is adding the Google Gemini Nano AI into its very popular Chrome browser very soon.
Google is going to implement Gemini AI into Chrome
During its annual Google I/O 2024 event, Google made tons of announcements regarding Artificial Intelligence. The whole launch was focused on AI and its improvements. One of the important announcements made during the event was the implementation of Gemini into the Chrome browser.
Gemini AI comes in multiple versions such as Gemini Pro and Gemini Nano. If we specify the exact version that is going to be implemented into the Gemini AI then it’s the Gemini Nano. As the name implies, it’s a Nano version of Gemini AI. But it is still very powerful enough to handle large AI tools. It can perform multiple tasks such as text-to-speech translation, conversation summaries, and a lot more.
Gemini is coming to more smartphones as well
The Gemini Nano is probably a smartphone-focused version of AI. The users of Google Pixel devices and some of the Samsung devices can use it on their smartphones. More and more Android OEMs are going to implement the Gemini Nano into their smartphones in the coming days. Implementation of the Gemini Nano is very easy as it can easily be fitted inside smartphone chips without requiring a huge space.
Anyway, the implementation of Gemini Nano into the Chrome browser will give it a lot of advantages. The users won’t have to contact any third-party tools or the server to access basic AI functionalities inside the app. This is also going to benefit the developers and website owners a lot. They will be able to implement AI into their websites and will be able to make the best out of it.
Google has said that it has already started the rollout of Gemini Nano into the Chrome browser starting today. The Nano will be accessible on the Chrome version starting V126. The current version of the Chrome browser is 125.0.6422.14. This further spikes our excitement as we’re not too far from the V126 and having our hands on the Gemini Nano.
