Google Chrome for iOS has received a new update that brings new additions to the browser. The update features the integration of Lens, Calendar, Translate, and a mini Google Maps experience. Since the iOS 14 update, Apple has given access to change the default browser on the iPhone. This has helped Google’s browser gain good momentum on iOS devices.
For users who rely on the Chrome browser more than Apple’s proprietary browser Safari, it’s welcoming news. These new additions to the browser will make the user experience even better. The bundle of new features will help the users to get things done quicker, right from the Chrome browser without switching to the dedicated Google applications.
Chrome for iOS with New Exciting Features
The newest updated version 114.0.5735.124 Chrome for iOS has received a bunch of new features for a more intuitive user experience. The browser works flawlessly and with the inclusion of these additional Google services on Chrome makes a huge difference. It’ll help users to not switch through different applications and get work done right on the browser.
In simple terms, if you have to top on an address, Chrome will not redirect you to the Maps application. The browser will simply open up a mini Google Maps interface right on the browser to make things faster. Moreover, if you need to set a calendar reminder while using Chrome, the browser will let you do that as well without jumping to the main calendar app.
There’s a real-time text translation option as well for translating other languages right from the browser. Furthermore, you can use Google Lens right from the browser by using the iPhone’s camera to translate, look up things, and much more. This new update makes the iPhone users not install additional applications for using those services individually.
However, you do need to know that these features have limited functionality as compared to the full versions of the service. You still need to download the full version of these Google services to take full advantage. These new changes in Google Chrome for iOS will not drain your battery much and makes things work much faster when in a hurry.
