Google has released two new updates for its Bard AI chatbot. The major update features improvement in solving mathematical and coding questions and string manipulation. The other update from the tech giant for its AI chatbot is the ability to export tables generated by Bard directly to the Google Sheets application.
Recently, at the I/O event held by Google, the Bard received new updates like image recognition and additional coding features. Initially, Bard was criticized for its reasoning ability, compared to the much better ChatGPT. Now, the brand has added new advancements to the AI chatbot for improved performance in mathematical tasks, coding questions, and string manipulation.
Google Bard Will Now Give Better Responses to Reasoning and Mathematics Questions
Google has started bringing a lot of improvements to its AI chatbot Bard from image recognition to providing better responses. In the newly received updates, the chatbot significantly saw improvements and surpassed all the limitations that were faced in the initial stages. The latest beta updates for the Bard have made the chatbot lot smarter with much better reasoning ability.
The Large Language Models or LLMs used on the Bard are known for their command of creative and language-related prompts. However, the model struggles with reasoning and math-solving ability. Google has introduced a new technique that will fill this void and make Bard an overall better chatbot.
The Bard with its new update comes with a technique called “Implicit Code Execution”. This new technique will allow Google’s chatbot to detect computation prompts and run code in the background. This way, Google Bard can provide responses to mathematical tasks, coding questions, and string manipulations more accurately.
The next update on the Bard will help the users to directly export the charts provided in the chatbox, directly to the Google Sheets. Users can easily export the tables generated by Bard for the prompts provided. This makes the process of transferring tables much easier and lets users work on the tables either on Google Sheets or any other application.
These were the two new updates that will improve the overall experience for receiving better responses in users’ daily tasks. The Implicit Code Execution will enable Bard to recognize logical codes easily and generate responses. This new method imbibed in the Bard system will enable an improvement of approximately 30% in terms of accuracy.
