ASUS ROG Zephyrus and Strix Scar Gaming Laptops with Intel and AMD Chipsets Launched in India

ASUS ROG series of gaming laptops in the Zephyrus and Strix Scar line-up have received updates to their previous generation with the internals and launched in India. The laptops launched with the refreshments include Strix Scar 16, 17, and 18.

The Zephyrus M16 and Duo 16 join the list as well with the latest internals for improved performance. The latest 13th gen Intel Core processors power the Strix Scar 16, 18 and Zephyrus Duo 16 laptops. The AMD Ryzen 9 7945X chipset powers the Strix Scar 17 and Zephyrus Duo 16 laptops.

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 Specifications

The ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 come with 16-inch and 18-inch displays that support QHD+ resolution. The 16-inch version of the Strix Scar has a high refresh rate of 240Hz and the 18-inch variant comes in both 165 and 240Hz versions. The screens feature a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, a 16:10 aspect ratio, G-sync support, Dolby Vision, MUX Switch, and Nvidia Advanced Optimus.

Under the hood, the 13th gen Intel Core i9-13980HX chipset with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU powers the machine. The storage provided on these new ROG Strix Scar notebooks comes with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. ASUA has provided the vicinity to upgrade the RAM for up to 64GB and the internal storage of the laptops features a 1TB SSD with up to 4TB upgradable.

The connectivity options on the Strix 16 and 18 include a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB Type-C port, and 2 USB 3.2 ports. An HDMI 2.1 port, a DC power input port, an RJ-45 jack, and an audio combo jack. The laptops come with a quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos and Smart Amp technology. The battery pack features a 90Wh cell that supports a 330W adapter.

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 Specifications

The ROG Strix Scar 17 sports a 17-inch display with up to QHD resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the machine gets powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 GPU. The laptop comes with storage of up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 17

The Scar 17 variant from ASUS features a keyboard that supports per-key RGB customization. Furthermore, the brand has designed the machine with a black colored body and comes with Aura Sync accents for a more appealing look.

The connectivity options on the laptop include Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth, and 4 USB ports. A USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type A) port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type C) port, HDMI Port, and RJ45 (LAN) ports. Lastly, the laptop runs on the Windows 11 operating system and comes pre-loaded with ASUS support options.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and Duo 16 Specifications

The ROG Zephyrus M16 and Duo 16 arrive with a 16-inch QHD display that supports a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. However, on the Duo 16 laptop, there’s an additional display on the bottom for different functions and usability. Under the hood, the M16 features up to Intel Core i9-13900H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.

On the other hand, the Zephyrus Duo 16 comes with AMD Ryzen 7000 series Dragon Range processors. The laptops come with a 90Whr battery that supports fast charging which can juice up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Also, the M16 laptop has Anime Matrix that lets you customize the back panel.

Price and Availability

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar laptops start from Rs. 2,79,000 and the ROG Zephyrus laptops start from Rs. 2,99,990. All of these laptops are sold offline at ASUS and ROG shops, Croma, Vijay Sales, and Reliance Digital. The laptops will go on sale online at ASUS e-shop, Amazon, and Flipkart.
