Apple Spring Event featured a bunch of new announcements from Apple for 2021. The company apart from announcing their new spread of devices has emphasized their carbon footprint on Earth.
They were able to lessen their carbon emission by making their office spaces a carbon-neutral environment. Besides, Tim Cook has stated that Apple would become 100% Carbon Neutral. The company will make it by 2030 for a better environment.
Furthermore, Apple has updated their credit cards where two individuals can merge their credit lines with Apple Card Family. This helps to build credit equally and financial equity for the users of the credit card.
The products announced at the Apple Spring Event are a new Purple color for iPhone, AirTags, Apple TV 4K with updated remote. Besides, the major highlights of the event were the iMac and iPad Pro powered by Apple’s very own M1 chip.
New iPhone Color for Spring, AirTags, and Apple TV 4K
Apple has previously announced the iPhone 12 series last year with a couple of unique colors. This time they have brought in a new Purple color for iPhone 12 series for spring 2021. The addition of new color may boost their sales a bit as the color looks gorgeous.
The next big-small thing that Apple announced in the event is the new AirTags that are similar to Samsung’s SmartTags. They serve the same purpose of tracking your items efficiently.
The New AirTags is a new tile-like item tracker that was long-rumored by Apple. Moreover, if you are an iPhone 12 user, the U1 chip present on the device takes advantage of this tag. The U1 chip helps you to accurately find the AirTag’s location by showing directions accurately. The AirTags from Apple is completely customizable with accessories such as leather loops and key rings. The prices are $99 for a four-pack and $99 for a single tag.
Apple has revealed their upgraded Apple TV 4K powered by A12 Bionic chipset. This chipset was previously found on the iPhone models such as XS, XS Max, and XR. Moreover, the powerful chipset majorly helps the device to play HDR videos at higher frame rates.
Along with the internal changes, the introduction of a redesigned remote has many functional features such as a new five-way touch controller. The remote now has support to turn off your TV with a dedicated power off button. The redesigned remote has a side-mounted Siri button. The price of the new Apple TV 4K is $179 for 32 GB storage.
New iMac and iPad Pro with M1 Chip
Apple has announced their updated iMac with a thinner design and Silicon Chip under the hood. The Mac devices are completely transitioning to Apple’s Silicon chipset. This newly launched iMac is a newly added feather to the flock of Apple Mac devices. The manufacturer has worked from scratch on the iMac especially to fit their new Silicon chipset i.e., the M1 chipset.
The display of the iMac sports a 24-inch 4.5K panel with thin bezels on the top and sides. Except, you can find a big chin on the bottom which features most of the CPU and stuff inside. The design has taken a completely different toll in comparison to the previous gen. The rear of the iMac is made flat instead of making it bulky and curvy. Apart from those, the FaceCam has a new larger sensor with 1080p resolution.
The new iMac flaunts in seven different colors that are very subtle and even the Magic keyboard and mouse match with the iMac this time. The Magic Keyboard now has added a TouchID scanner for faster unlocking. Besides, the ports that are present on the iMac are two USB-C / Thunderbolt ports on the back.
The higher-end model will add two USB-C ports. You can find the 3.5mm headphone jack mounted on the side of the iMac. The storage options are 8/16GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The price of iMac starts at $1,299 and goes up to $1499 for different color variants.
New iPad Pro with M1 Chipset
The Apple Spring Event 2021 gets interesting when they announced their new iPad Pro powered by the Apple Silicon M1 chipset. The New iPad Pro’s design is the same but the major improvements have taken place internally. Apple claims that the new iPad Pro is a big jump in performance in comparison to previous-gen models.
There are two sizes available for the iPad Pro which are an 11-inch option and a 12.9-inch option. The 12.9 model sports a new Mini LED, Liquid Retina XDR display. The display has up to 10,000 mini-LEDs with 1,000 nits of brightness and a 1 million-to-one contrast ratio.
The new 12MP front-facing camera on the iPad Pro has a new feature called Center Stage. This feature pans the camera to follow you around during video calls. The prices for the iPad Pro 11-inch model starting at $799 for Wi-Fi and $999 for Wi-Fi + Cellular. The higher-variant 12.9 inch model is priced at $1,099 for Wi-Fi and $1,299 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
These are the newly announced products from the Apple Spring Event. These products are now available for pre-order from April 30. Most of the products announced are scheduled to go on sale from Mid-May which is from the next month.
