Apple has launched the AirPods Max over the ear headphones. With its new head headphone, Apple is making its game stronger in the audio department. The AirPods Max has a single-button press Transparency mode and connects using Bluetooth v5.
AirPods Max Specifications
Apple’s first over-ear wireless headphones are claimed to deliver high-fidelity audio. The headband has a Canopy spanning, which is made from a breathable knit mesh. Which company claims, it distributed weight to reduce on-head pressure. The frame is made out of stainless steel and wrapped with soft-to-the-touch materials for flexibility.
To adjust the height of the AirPods Max, it has telescoping arms on both sides. The earcups are made out of aluminium that features a revolutionary mechanism that allows each cup to rotate independently. The earcups internally have an “acoustically optimised” net that surrounds the magnetically attached cushions.
Apple AirPods Max has a digital crown that lets you control volume, skip between tracks, answer phone calls, and activate Siri. It also has a single-button press Transparency mode similar to Apple’s true wireless stereo (TWS).
The headphones are fitted with proprietary H1 chip and custom 40mm dynamic drivers. It has a total of nine microphones, eight of which also assist the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) function to block noise from all directions.
Moreover, it has spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, which essentially uses accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to track the movement of the head and optimise sound in real-time. It has an optical and position sensor to detect when the pair is removed from ears — or when one earcup is lifted — to pause the sound.
The headphones claim to deliver up to 20 hours of listening time on a single charge with ANC enabled. According to the company, five minutes of charge time provides around an hour and a half of listening time.
