Acer announces new laptops in the Swift series that feature two new notebooks – Swift 5 and Swift 3. The laptops on the inside come with the 12th Generation of the latest Intel Processors along with Intel’s Xe graphics.
Similarly, both the laptops come with 14-inch displays with the same design aesthetics of thin and light CNC-machined unibody chassis.
The Swift 5 laptop from Acer suits professional users. Whereas, Acer brings the Swift 3 laptop suits best for the occasional work and media usage prospects, flaunting multiple shades.
The premium builds on the laptops for the pricing provides an elegant experience with its onboard features.
Acer Swift 5 Specifications
Acer Swift 5 laptop features a 14-inch WQXGA touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. The laptop comes with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a 92.22 percent screen-to-body ratio; giving thin bezels along with an aspect ratio of 16:10.
The Intel 12th Generation Processors coupled with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics power the Swift 5. The storage, on the laptop, comes with up to 16 GB of dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
The build of the laptop includes the ionic silver that gives a durable build and surface protection.
Moreover, Acer has used a CNC-machined unibody chassis constructed along with aerospace-grade aluminum, giving the laptop a strong build.
Speaking of the other elements on the laptop, Acer has provided an Ocean Glass touchpad made from plastic waste, which encourages the cause of recycling.
The touchpad comes with Microsoft’s Precision Touchpad certification that comes with gesture controls. The Swift 5 supports Windows Hello security, supporting both face unlock and fingerprint unlock with the scanner; embedded inside the power key.
The manufacturer has provided a ton of more features; such as Noise Reduction microphones along with Twin Air dual-fan with D6 heat pipes for an increase in airflow and thermal efficiency.
The connectivity options on the Swift 5 include Wi-Fi 6E, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.
The Swift 5 thin laptop can provide a battery backup of up to 10 hours and supports fast charging. Moreover, the laptop gives a backup of almost 4 hours with just a 30-min fast charge.
Acer Swift 3 Specifications
The Swift 3 on the other hand from Acer comes with a similar set of specifications, although with slight changes in a few features offered from its higher-priced version.
Firstly, the laptop comes with a 14-inch display but arrives in two different versions, a Full HD or a Quad-HD resolution screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, you can witness the same 12th Gen Intel Core Processors along with Intel Xe graphics tagging along. The storage on the laptop features up to 2 TB of SSD and similar RAM numbers from the Swift 5.
However, the speakers on the Swift 3 support the DTS audio and the same Full-HD webcam; it comes with the TNR microphone technology from Acer. The Dual Fan cooling system from Acer will provide, more efficient than the regular single fan laptops.

The Acer Swift 5 starts at a price tag of $1,499 or Rs. 1,12,700 approx. in the United States. Whereas, the Acer Swift 3 laptop goes for sale at $849.99 or Rs. 64,000 approx.
Both laptops will go on sale from June in the United States. Moreover, Acer has simultaneously announced this duo in Europe and China, as well with similar pricing.
