Acer has updated the Nitro 5 series with a new model that features a larger display when compared to the previously launched 15.6-inch model. The refreshments on this newly announced model are quite minimal but feature the same design language and color schemes.
Just like the previous iterations, Acer hasn’t skipped on any aspect and provided gaming-ready full-keyboard with an RGB backlit unit.
Acer Nitro 5 Specifications
Acer Nitro 5 sports a 15.6-inch and 17.3 full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The display is an IPS panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate with a 3ms response rate. 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU powers the laptop integrated with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card.
The GPU has a dedicated GDDR6 VRAM of up to 6GB. Other features of Nitro 5 include a 720p HD webcam and DTS HD stereo speakers.
The laptop has up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM with dual-storage options that include a 1TB 7200-RPM and a 256GB PCle Gen 3 NVMe SSD. The battery cell used on the Nitro 5 is a 57.6WHr that gives 10Hrs of battery life. The 180W charger provided right in the box charges the battery. The dimensions of Nitro 5 are 363 x 255 x 23.9 mm and weigh 2.3KG.
The connectivity options provided on this gaming laptop from Acer include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB Type-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2), and USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. Furthermore, Nitro 5 features a Kensington lock port, an HDMI port, RJ45 ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone jack; and the barrel plug charger is now shifted to the side of the laptop instead of the back for an easy plug and useability.
Price and Availability
The Acer Nitro 5 Gaming laptop comes in two different models as mentioned in two different screen sizes. The AN515-54 model is priced at $769 and the AN515-57 comes at a price tag of $1,199.99.
The new larger display model in the Nitro line-up is the best deal in the gaming segment. The gaming laptop is available for sale in the US via retail offline stores.
